Dehusked Coconut Description A dehusked coconut is a mature coconut with the entire outer fibrous husk removed, exposing the hard brown shell underneath. This form is commonly sold in markets for direct use or further processing.
Appearance: Hard, brown, rough-surfaced shell with three “eyes” (soft spots) visible at one end.
Weight & Size: Typically weighs between 500g to 1.5kg depending on maturity and variety.
Water & Flesh: Contains coconut water inside when fresh; the white, firm kernel is suitable for eating, cooking, or processing into coconut oil, milk, and other products.
Uses: Popular for culinary use, coconut oil extraction, making copra, and other food and industrial applications.
